HOW DO YOU HEAR FROM GOD?

Satan does not want you to hear God's voice because your partnership with the Lord can wreak havoc on his kingdom. Satan knows that you will have to fight him, your enemy as you enter into your time alone with God. Prayer will help you to stay true to your commitment and hear from the Lord. The following guidelines are tools to help you win the battle:

Bind the voice of the enemy. When you pray, Satan will try to interfere. So before you start to pray, bind his voice. Do this in the name of Jesus. Then trust the Holy Spirit. He will lead you and guide you into ALL truth. (See Matt. 16:19; John 14:26; 15:26, 27; 16:13-15;

BIBLICAL DOCTRINES

Biblical doctrines are the backbone of Christianity. Biblical doctrines are the beliefs or tenets of Christianity they are the knowledge that every believer need to know. They are the pilot that takes believer to their destination. They are the vehicle through which we can reach our heavenly home. They are the transport that never fails.

Biblical doctrine gives Christian hope, assurance and makes them a matured believer. In the Act of Apostle chapter 5 verses 28 no wonder the Apostles was filled with the Doctrine of Jesus Christ and this enable them to speak with boldness, and were used as an ember to fire the other believing Christian so that the Gospel was taking to the uttermost part of the world.

Apostle Paul understands the whole doctrine of the Bible when he counseled the Ephesians’ Christian in Eph 4:11-14. The neglect of Bible doctrine is what makes the church as a whole to be in a state of decadence; thus superficial Christian living becomes the other of the day. Rampart backsliding and worldliness and one-sided preaching and teaching by big or popular churches makes the matter worst.

The foundation of individual is often good but when God begins to do wonder in their life they soon deny the finger that nurtures them. They will start using man’s wisdom instead of relying on the Holy Spirit for their message. I won’t talk much .Let us see the Bible doctrines as it is and a summary follows

HOW SHOULD WE FAST?

In the bible there is no rule or regulation on how one should fast. A Christian can set any day apart for himself or his group to fast to God. One can set a day apart or more in other to seek the face of God concerning a particular mater or situation. If somebody is to fast beyond 3 days water is essential for the body to drink periodically. A prolong fast beyond 40 days is not recommended. People who fast for longer days without water do so due to ignorant and they may pay dearly for it as their life span can be shortened through sickness…

DO YOU PRAY FOR PEOPLE?

Dear Christian.
But I have pray for thee, that thy faith fails not; and when thou art converted, strengthened thy brethren. Luke 22:32. And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land that I should not destroy it; but I found none. Ezek. 22:30.

Christian, the ultimate purpose of prayer is not to get what we want, but to become what God want. God uses our difficulties to develop our character. You cannot store up treasure in heaven if you are holding on to the treasure on earth. The seeds we sows today determine the kind of fruit we will reap tomorrow. Our greatest riches are the riches we have in Christ. Are you gifted or called to intercede?

God have provided the amour but we must put it on. No one is good enough to save himself; no one is so bad that God cannot save him or her. The truth of life is not determined by how many people that believes on it. Do you have the appetite to pray? If you think you know everything, then you have a lot to learn. You can measure your love for God by your obedience to his words. Are you willing to pray moderately without ceasing for others?

You cannot go astray on this straight and narrow way if you follow peace with all men and holiness…Heb 12:14. It is not the hour you put in prayer that counts but what you put in the prayer. Jesus took our place on the cross to give us a place in heaven, but we must do the work of Christ on earth to earn that glory. One among the work is intercession (praying for others).

Knowing God gives meaning to life; obeying Him gives purpose to it. In the Bible we are instructed to intercede thus: I exhort therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayer, intercessions, and the giving of thanks, be made for all men. (1Tim.2:1-5). Also: finally my brethren, be strong in the lord, and in the power of his might…Eph.6:10-18.Read what the expert has to say on prayer.

Between the humble and contrite heart and the majesty of heaven there are no barriers. the only password is prayer….Ballou
And Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees…Cowper
Let us be silent that we may hear the whisper of God…Emerson
We must alter our lives in order to alter our hearts, for it is impossible to live one way and pray another way….Law

Sometimes God delays the answer to our prayer in final form until we have time to build up the strength, accumulate the knowledge, or fashion the character that would make it possible for God to say yes to what we ask ….Pearson.
Neglect of private prayer is the locus that devours the strength of the
church..Spurgeon

Dear friend I will like to tell you that a little prayer that you can pray for anybody at anytime will not go unnoticed by the angel of God and you will be adequately rewarded by God. The prayer of intercession is highly valuable in the sight of the Lord. And I repeat: YOU WILL BE REWARDED as you pray for people you know and do not know. All Christians are priest and we have access to the throne of Grace anytime we pray. You do not need to be called by God in order to pray for people. All Christian are called. Pray, my dear for people: believer and unbeliever. God bless you as you do so
